Nails Inc. Magnetic Nail Polish
So ever see something in Sephora and think it is a total gimmick, but then you see it on someone else and you just have to have it? Well that's exactly what happened to me with the new Nails Inc. Magnetic nailpolishes. I saw it in Sephora a couple weeks ago, and thought "There is no way that will ever work". So using all of my will power, I turned and walked out of the Sephora (this doesn't come easily!). Then the next week I saw a friend of mine wearing awesome nail polish, and I was like "OMGHHKP! is that the magnetic nail polish?" Of course it was, so that same day I went back to Sephora and bought it. So basically here is the deal. It is a nailpolish that has tiny pieces of magnetic particles in it. It retails at about $16 USD. You paint one coat like you would a normal nailpolish, and then once that has dried you paint another thicker coat over that. Then quickly (this is key!) you take the cap of the polish which has a magnet built into it and hold it over the nail. Depending on where you hold the magnet and which direction it is pointing, it pulls the magnetic particles towards the magnet creating a funky affect to the nails. So now comes the faults. First, if you don't hold the magnet in the right place, the affect is somewhat lame, for lack of a better term. In addition, you must hold the magnet fairly close to the nail to get the right affect, but sometimes it is hard to see the distance between the nail and the magnet, and they sometimes touch. That being said, if you have the patience, this polish is definitely something to invest in!
